Abstract:
This dataset outlines areas that had residential land use in 1945 and 1959 as shown on a map included in the Metropolitan Land Study, dated April 1960.
Purpose:
The data was collected by scanning and digitizing the Residential Land Use map (Figure 13) from page 30 of the Metropolitan Land Study prepared by the Metropolitan Planning Commission in April 1960, so that it is available in digital form and may be used as a historical reference layer in GIS.
